Happy Halloween! (+ mini-update delayed due to internet death >.<)

Sooo, today was supposed to be the day I released DD's mini-update! Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen now :( Our internet has been down since Saturday morning, and our provider says that a fix isn't likely until later this week because they need to send out an engineer, but can't do so until Wednesday-Friday because of staff shortages >.<"

It's a little frustrating, but it's fine x3 I'll just keep tweaking stuff on it in the meantime since I don't need the internet for that, and then release it whenever we do have our net back! I still need to sort out a lot of stuff for the itch page too, which I can't do either while limited to mobile data internet on my phone at the moment. Thankfully, I already had this gif uploaded to itch in a draft post for the mini-update launch, haha.

Similarly, all the music tracks were already uploaded to YouTube. I just didn't post anything on Saturday/Sunday while we were trying to figure out what was gonna happen with our net. (Plus it's pretty awkward for me to change the videos from private to public on my phone when I don't have the right app >.<)

So yeah, I don't want to put a specific date on the updated release time for the mini-update since our net provider can't even give us an exact date of when we'll have functioning internet again! But hopefully, I'll be able to upload by or on Friday 4th November. If not, I guess it probably won't be until the following week because I'm away at the weekend.

Now that the order I was gonna release tracks in is messed up anyways, I guess I'll release them a little differently x3 I'll try to do one today, one on Wednesday, and one on Friday.

This track, My Monster (I'll Be Your World) was the one I was going to release last because I thought it would make the most sense to release it on Halloween with a title like that, haha. So I will still release it on Halloween, but now it's the 4th track rather than the 6th. Basically some very chill yandere vibes x3

Also, apologies once again to anyone whose message or comment I haven't managed to respond to yet >.< I just haven't had the time with how busy of a month October is for me. Once our net is finally fixed and the DD update is released though, I'll be typing up replies :3 I would do it on my phone the same way that I'm typing this now, but typing on my phone is a total nightmare >.< haha.

But yeah, Happy Halloween once again! I hope you all get to have a super spooky day <3

:)

I hope your net gets fixed up; sometimes you can head to a local library and use their internet (if you have a laptop) or their computers themselves to do stuff.  Just be sure to manually logout of all of your accounts when you are done.

It may be the season to strongly consider getting even a used older laptop; they often give out free ones at certain spots if you know where to look.  I got mine from there many ages ago when I was a fresh (broke) college student :)

Hehe x3 I do really hate typing on my phone though.

Net still isn't 100% fixed, but that doesn't surprise me with how awful a company these guys are. It just sucks to be held hostage because most areas have options to switch, we only have the one provider here, so we're at their mercy >.<

We have a family potato laptop that isn't capable of much and is extremely frustrating to use, haha. And every laptop I've ever personally owned has been fine at first, only to become some sort of zombie over the course of the next few years and turn useless T_T So yeah, even if I had the money to buy one, I just wouldn't cos they've all been crap so far, haha. A free one would be a different matter though x3

That's the curse of Windows OS.  If you use something like Linux Mint and are willing to self-learn (or have someone help teach you) it could improve your (writing/artwork) productivity significantly IMHO.  As long as you don't need to use it for playing Windows-only games you should be good.  WINE runs most stuff (what Steam Proton Linux-comaptibility for Steam Gaming is based off of) and most of the rest have free and open-source alternatives.
