Since we're now into May, I figured I should probably post a progress report for April to let you guys know how things are going :3

There isn't a whole lot to say/show, but a few things were achieved throughout April:

• Castor/ia's new content script was completed
• One new character's content is 70% completed
• Another new character's content is 25% completed
• New character sprites are 90% completed

I just need to wait to find out if Castor/ia's VAs will be willing to reprise their roles now :3

The main thing I've discovered during April though is that my original target for releasing the update around the end of Spring isn't realistically achievable. Not only is there still a hell of a lot of work to do on my end in terms of actually coding all of the new content in now that it's almost fully written, but because I'm collaborating with other people on things like CG art and voice acting, I also need to take their schedules into account as well. Some of the lovely folks I'm working with are quite snowed under with other work and stuff, so I've decided to take things a little easier. That doesn't mean I'll be slacking off, haha. I'll still do what I can on DD :3 But I'll also be trying to look after myself a bit better and stop running myself into the ground xD

Whenever I'm not working on DD, I'll be trying to make some progress towards the development of the full version of CiQ with both male and female LIs + MC with pick your pronouns and skin colour (CiQ's MC portrait is visible, unlike DD's MC.)

I suppose the end of summer is looking like a more realistic time for releasing the update, but even then, I can't be certain, and I don't want to make any solid plans when life has a way of surprising you and derailing stuff, haha. I also never want to rush the people I'm working with cos I don't wanna add any stress or pressure to their plates :3 So we'll just see how things progress and I'll try my best to keep posting small updates on Twitter, along with more in-depth ones on Kofi & Patreon, and then I guess I'll stick to monthly progress reports on devlogs here cos I don't wanna spam anyone's inboxes with post notifications x3

So yeah, not the most exciting progress report, but it's progress nonetheless! I hope you all had a happy Easter if you celebrate it in any way, and I hope you have a brilliant May ^-^
