Limbo Line - Just in time!

Well, it's been an exhausting but incredibly exciting month! I usually spend September waiting and waiting for October to roll around since that's when all my beloved scare attractions open. It often feels like a month of nothing particularly exciting going on! A month that takes forever to end. Not this September xD Making Limbo Line for Spooktober VN Jam has just made the entire month fly by in the blink of an eye!

As usual for my jam habits, I'm submitting pretty close to the deadline >.< I tried so hard to get it ready to launch for the day before, or at least a good 12 hours before, but nope, I kept finding tiny little bugs that niggled me, causing me to keep going back, tweaking, and reexporting builds throughout the course of this last day xD I am far too paranoid for my own good when it comes to that sort of thing T_T I'll go back and test pretty much everything all over again, even though I know in my mind I've only changed one line of code and everything should technically be fine, haha.

Anyhow, it's all done and out in the wild now, so I hope you have as much fun playing it as I did making it ^-^ And the fun's not over yet because I'm super excited to play all the other submissions! October is going to be such a cool spoopy month :3

I'm so glad I made it in the end, because last year, I didn't even realise Spooktober was a September Jam >.< I missed it completely because despite knowing about it, I presumed it began in October T_T So I made a game for Scream Jam instead last year, haha. And boy, can you tell how far I've come in that time. There's a staggering difference in the level of quality between Impostor and Limbo Line! Granted, I'm working with Nani now, which is faaaar superior to Tyranobuilder that Impostor was made in. On top of that, for Limbo Line, I got to work with a proper team of wonderful people ^-^ I'm so sorry for dragging all of you guys into my madness! Thank you so much for all your hard work! There's no way I could have made anything as cool as this without you guys x3

I think that'll be it for jams for me this year because I don't work particularly healthily during them, haha. I absolutely love them, but I should probably stop for the year!

But yeah, on reflection, I have learned soooo much throughout the course of this jam it's kinda nuts. I always make it my aim to learn at least 1 new thing about making VNs every time I decide to join a jam, and this time I wound up learning 5 xD

And I totally stand by what I said after forming a team for Otome Jam 2021. I never wanna jam alone again. A9 was a blast, Limbo Line has been even more of one! Not only did I get to team up with my friends, but I made some new friends too ^-^ This has been my favourite jam ever and I haven't even played any of the games yet!
