Sooo, considering I had hoped to have the full otome version of this project released back in October sometime + to be currently working on the other versions of the game that include a feminine version of Erys & a masculine version of Loni, I figured I better make a quick post here to give an update on the general state of the project and my situation >.<

Despite my best intentions, I haven't personally been able to make any progress on the project since releasing the demo for Otome/Josei Jam back in July due to a number of different reasons :( 

The good news is, LPB has worked on some more art for the project, and most of the cast have now delivered their lines for the second part of the game, meaning that, for most characters, their full scripts are recorded :3 So some form of progress has been made at least! Just not by me >.<

The development timeline for LOVESTARVED has gone something like this:

[July 2024 ]

• LOVESTARVED's demo was released successfully in time for the end of otome/josei jam

[August 2024]

• My new PC broke AGAIN, and a loooong fight with customer services began (in the meantime, I was left without a working computer)

[September 2024]

• After attempts to fix my PC both remotely and by shipping it back to the place I purchased it failed, they agreed to send out a 3rd machine with a slightly different configuration

• After being without a PC for so long, I didn't feel like diving straight into coding for LOVESTARVED because I hate coding in general >.< So I figured I would do something a little more fun

• Throughout September, I joined a couple of teams to make music for their Spooktober projects.

• Those teams created UnderHolo (whose half of the OST I worked on can be found here) + Streams Upon Memories (where I made tracks for the endings, which can be found here!)

[October 2024] + [November 2024]

I fully intended to return to coding for LOVESTARVED as soon as October rolled around, but unfortunately, it just wasn't to be >.< My mental health took an absolutely nose dive, and I wound up burned out once again, back in the familiar old depression pit.

Basically, though, I'm just not in any state of mind to do serious work on this project or anything else at the moment :( I'm going back into therapy this month, and my hope is that I will be in a more stable position to be able to continue working on the project at the start of 2025.

So yeah, that's what happened x3

I'm sorry to anyone who has played the demo and was expecting the full game to be out sooner >.<

With any luck, I will be able to get some work done on LOVESTARVED once the new year comes. If I'm even luckier, I might actually manage to finish and release the otome version sometime in 2025, but I'll be sure to give an update on that when closer to the time :3
