Walkthrough & CG Guide by Myonette

The wonderful editor on our Spooktober team, the sentient jar known as Myonette, has created a handy walkthrough guide for the game which you can find below ^-^

Attached to this post are also links to all the game's choices broken down into flowchart form!
Part 01
Part 02
Part 03

If you'd rather download it all for offline viewing, you can find it all zipped up in a folder on the downloads section of the game page :3

So you wanted a walkthrough of all the choices? Then look no further! For all of you looking for 100% completion, we’ve got you covered with all the available options and consequences that befall us.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to unlock all the CGs, but there are a few things you tend not to notice on your first playthrough. If you want to try this spoiler-free, I’d suggest not looking below this point.

All good? Then major spoilers ahead for stuff!

As a side note, there are 3 main hidden stats that are going up in this - Rhime’s Interest, Trust, and Time Out. Depending on how high or low these stats are will determine how certain scenarios will pan out. There’ll be indicators on here to show what will add points, as well as the impact of them. Anything that has CGs linked to them or differences later will also be noted here.

Merry Spookmas and beyond to you :3

Before the game starts, it’ll allow you to choose Linnet’s pronouns and their voice (masculine or feminine), both of which only affect how they’re referred to and sound during the story.

[unlocks CG 01a]

Choice 1: Is that why you’re sad?

I guess so - +1 trust, +1 Rhime’s Interest No - No stat changes
Not pressing any - +1 time out

Choice 2: Has anyone broken your heart?

Yeah/Nope - No stat changes, only changes dialogue
Not pressing any - +1 time out

Choice 3: Ooo, like a romantic partner or something?

Sure/Uh, no - No stat change, but changes dialogue
Not pressing any - +1 time out

(No matter what you do, it’ll get you to choose which voice Rhime will have, either masculine or feminine, so no penalties there)

Next section you have a few things to look at: knife, sticky note, mug, and phone. After checking 3 things, the phone will ring.

Choice 4: Answer/Don’t Answer the phone?

Answer - +1 Rhime’s Interest
Not pressing anything - +1 time out

Time Choice/Choice 5: Grab the knife?

Grab the knife - +1 Rhime’s Interest
Timed out - +1 time out

Choice 6: Why exactly would I do something like that?

You’re a perv - +1 Rhime’s Interest
For money - +1 Trust
A grudge, maybe - +1 Rhime’s Interest
Don’t press anything - +1 time out

Choice 7: Do you not remember anything before the moment you awoke here?

Nope, Nothing - No stat change
Playing video games - +1 Rhime’s Interest
Feeling lost - +1 Trust
Not pressing any - +1 time out

Choice 8: Hmm, well, you do have a knife, so you could always get…creative

Kill it? - Additional dialogue, no stat changes

Kill the cat - No stat changes, but Rhime will remember your actions. [unlocks CG 02]

Leave the cat alone - +1 trust (Will lead to a fast prompt to feed the cat, but ignoring this won’t bring up your time out counter. Pressing it will lead to the ‘Feed the cat’ options)

Not pressing anything - +1 time out

Feed the cat - Opens up a new choice, more dialogue

Choice 9 (If you said ‘Feed the cat’): You may use me as you see fit

Use Linnet’s blood - +1 trust
Use Rhime’s blood - +1 Rhime’s Interest
Not pressing anything - No stat changes, slightly alternative dialogue

Choice 10: My guilt was determined the moment I dared to dream.

Comfort Rhime - +1 trust
Berate Rhime - +1 Rhime’s Interest
Don’t press anything - +1 time out

Choice 11: Game choice

Hangman - +1 Rhime’s Interest
Simon Says - No stat change

(Whatever you answer, it’ll go to Simon Says. The majority of this segment doesn’t impact the stats, but is minorly affected by a choice you made earlier in terms of dialogue)

Choice 12: But if you don’t know how to play, I’ll explain

I know how to play - Will skip to the game
Please explain - Will give a description how to play Simon Says

Choice 13: Simon Says - Meow like a cat - Meeeeooow!

Smile - Additional dialogue, makes you pick the other option
Meow - Prompts next option

Choice 14: Meoooow! Simon Says, smiiiiile.

Press Cat button - Additional dialogue. You can press this 4 times before it’ll start the game automatically
Press Smile - Goes to start the game

Simon Says Segment!

This part is all timed, so it’s a case of pressing the right answer in time. Timing out will count as a wrong answer in certain situations, so that is considered a separate answer. Below will be all the right answers for all the rounds.

Round 1 - Wink, wink, wink, stick out tongue

Round 2 - Don’t do anything

Round 3 - Meow, smile, stick out tongue

Round 4 - Wink, wink, meow, smile

Round 5 - Don’t do anything

Round 6 - Meow, meow, meow, smile, wink

Round 7 - Incorrect no matter what, so any option

End of the Simon Says segment and back to the regular choices [unlocks CG 03a]

Timed Choice/ Choice 15:  Attack Simon with the knife

Attack Simon - +1 Rhime’s Interest [unlocks CG 03b]

Don’t press anything - No stat change [unlocks CG 04]

There’s a lot of plot next, so relax for a little bit as you don’t have to think about making choices :3

[unlocks CG 05a & 05b no matter what ]

[05c if you are playing with a feminine voice for Linnet + a masculine or feminine voice for Rhime OR if you are playing with a masculine voice for Linnet + a masculine voice for Rhime.]

[05d if you are playing with a masculine voice for Linnet & a feminine voice for Rhime]

[unlocks CG 01b]

[unlocks CG 06]

It gets to a point where Rhime is now talking to you, and the choices are now reintroduced. Depending on your actions earlier, you can get endings here.

Choice 16: Save Linnet? Or end them?

Save Linnet - Leads down an ending route

Forsake Linnet - Leads down an ending route

To make this easier, there will be headers for which route you went down, as well as the options that will appear on it.

Save Linnet Option

If you had all timed out choices - Leads to bad ending:

{Window with a View (A)} - [unlocks CG 07]

If you made choices - Dialogue continues

After the dialogue continues, another stat check comes up, this time trust.

If Rhime doesn’t trust you [3 or lower]  - Diverts to a new set of choices, locks you out of the ‘good’ ending
(Killing Sorbet automatically leads you on this route)

If Rhime trusts you [4 or higher]  - Leads to ‘good’ ending:

{Dreaming of the Future} - [unlocks CG 11]

Following if Rhime doesn’t trust you:

Choice 17a: What do you want from me?!

Nothing - Leads to bad end:

{Window with a View (B)} - [unlocks CG 08]

Open the game one more time to also [unlock CG 12]

To confess my feelings for you  - Changes dialogue if Rhime likes you or not, but both lead to bad end:

{Window with a View (B)} - [unlocks CG 08]

Open the game one more time to also [unlock CG 12]

Forsake Linnet Option

If you had all timed out choices - Leads to bad ending:

{Window with a View (A)} - [unlocks CG 07]

If you made choices - Dialogue continues, but slight changes depending on how you acted previously.

Choice 17b: What shall we do with it?

Not clicking anything - No changes, forces you to pick an option

Spare Linnet - Leads to bad end:

{Peekaboo} - [unlocks CG 09]

Do everything - Leads to ‘good’ ending:

{R.I.P.} - [unlocks CG 10]

If you’re missing the last 2 CGs, here’s how to get them!

You can get CG 12 by reopening the game one more time after the Window with a View (B) ending.

You can get CG 13 by having reached both the Dreaming of the Future + R.I.P. endings. Whichever one you finish second, you will unlock CG 13 once you return to the title screen.

What the heck is up with Simon Says? I don't even have time to click them all, or it counted them wrong or something. It was... well, it kinda just derailed me entirely from the game, unlike some of your others, even timed decision ones? It's obviously a year old, but guess I just wanted to comment.

It's supposed to be unwinnable if that's of any consolation at all x3 It masquerades as a minigame challenge, but it's physically impossible to succeed at it. It's kind of supposed to make you despair, haha.

You can technically beat Simon in a sense, just not at the actual game of Simon Says >.< And even if you do defeat him, the story continues the same way regardless.

The different outcomes & cumulative effects of choices made throughout only become apparent right at the end of this one.

Sorry if the Simon Says stuff was jarring >.< The whole game is meant to be a bit mad. Thank you for checking this one out though :3

hi i just want to ask is there another secret password ?? because a notice there is another link but not the same password i mean the second link a bout rhime-gant.itch.io/my-gracious-gift-to-you its  i know the password but what about this link???

If you were dreaming of the future, head here and input the password: rhime-gant.itch.io/my-humble-gift-to-you

please help me to solve this MYSTERY its so annoying to no know.... and i loved u game so much

Hey hey! Yeah, there are 2 different passwords depending on which ending you reached :3

If you get the RIP ending, then you will get 1 password - if you get the Dreaming of the Future ending, you will get a different password.

There are 5 endings total, but only 2 out of 5 endings have passwords. Each password unlocks a slightly different page, but the downloads on both pages are exactly the same, so you’re not really missing out on anything by not having both passwords :3 It’s just the look of the pages and the words on them that are a little bit different.

I’m just typing on my phone at the moment, so I can’t update the guide until I can get on my PC >.< but once I’m able to go on my PC, I will update the guide with a little spoilers note about the password stuff :3

In the meantime, if you want to find the password yourself, you just need to get the other ending. The guide should have instructions on how to reach the Dreaming of the Future end (you basically need to get max trust points), and you’ll get the password during that ending the same way that you got the password during the RIP ending.

Thanks again for playing ^-^

Well, i tried to get them without walkthrough again and i'm stuck on trying to get CG 13 and 11, i tried going back and "reopening the game" but it just keeps giving CG 12 instead, i might just be stupid but can i get like a video tutorial or something please T-T . P.S No melancholy marionette rant :(

I need to edit this cos I realise after re-reading that a couple of the CG number labels are wrong x3 That's my fault cos I filled them in while I was really tired, haha.

If you're going by the CG grid, CG 11 is the one you get for reaching the Dreaming of the Future ending. And CG 13 is the one you get for reaching both the Dreaming of the Future & R.I.P. endings.

So if you're missing 11 & 13, it sounds like you must be missing the Dreaming of the Future end (which is the one that requires you to have 4+ trust points + choose to save Linnet.)

There is a ramble btw :3 You have to download the extras separately this time, they're not stored in the game itself. However, they're not currently uploaded as they're still being worked on. They're coming though (sketchbook, bloopers, ramble, and music player :3)

Will edit the guide as soon as I'm on my PC! It won't let me edit the post on mobile >.< Been taking a break from the screen today cos the last week of the jam gave me a constant headache x3
